Seychelles Travel prides itself on a service second to none when planning and formalising your Wedding arrangements in the Seychelles. A service where we listen to your wishes and endeavour to fulfil and surpass your greatest expectations. Our caring wedding co-ordinators will be on hand at all times to guide and advise you on various options when planning your special, totally unique day...to cherish and remember forever.
Your Wedding Location Most of the hotels and islands offering wedding services in Seychelles have been listed within this website. However, should you wish for a wedding location which has not been listed, Seychelles Travel will endeavour to make this possible. Generally each hotel or island will offer a choice of ceremony location within their own grounds and we will encourage you to make this choice when you are in the Seychelles, having been shown around by our Seychelles wedding co-ordinator.
Your Wedding Ceremony The majority of weddings in the Seychelles are civil weddings, and are performed by a registrar. Religious ceremonies and renewal of vows can be arranged on request. Wedding ceremonies in Seychelles are beautifully simple: no loud music, no fuss and no conveyer belt service - there will only be one wedding a day at your hotel, and possibly the only one you will see whilst in the Seychelles.
We will be happy to arrange any extras to suit your individual requirements. Furthermore, we welcome the opportunity to provide that extra touch. Perhaps a pre-wedding party, a champagne and smoked marlin breakfast, an after ceremony boat trip decorated with tropical flowers and palm leaves, a candle-lit dinner, a barbecue on the beach or a romantic cruise to experience the breathtaking "Seychelles Sunset".
Wedding Requirements It is obligatory for all wedding couples to have been resident in Seychelles for at least three days prior to the ceremony. Weddings are generally held Mondays to Fridays. They can be held on Saturdays, Sundays and local public holidays, but this is subject to special permission from the registrar and a surcharge. Copies of the following documents for both persons will be required by Seychelles Travel preferably no later than 8 weeks before departure: birth certificate, if divorced - decree absolute, if widowed - previous wedding certificate and death certificate, legal proof if your name has been changed by deed-poll and copies of the first 6 pages of your passport including pages showing your photograph and personal details. Originals of the above must be taken with you to Seychelles.
Family and Friends Many of our wedding couples invite their family and friends to experience and celebrate with them on this very special occasion. Seychelles Travel can accommodate the party in the same hotel, or if preferred, in nearby hotels. Celebrations can be arranged for the eve of the ceremony and afterwards, but generally after the wedding newlyweds disappear to one of our castaway islands for their dream honeymoon.
Special Extras All Seychelles Travel wedding guests will receive to complimentary invitations to the VIP Suite at Heathrow airport on departure and a £100 discount on the Bride's Air Seychelles International flight (except peak periods).
Your Wedding and Honeymoon To experience all the beauty and romantic qualities of these unspoilt islands, Seychelles Travel recommends that after your wedding and reception on one island, you enjoy a magical honeymoon on another. Only a short flight or scenic helicopter ride away, you will be able to discover a totally different aspect of paradise - to explore and enjoy together. As with any Seychelles Travel itinerary, the choice and combination of islands is totally yours, but we do encourage you to include at least one of the romantic and beautiful outer islands into your itinerary.
